Jackson, my love is one!

A year gone by so quickly, its crazy to think how fast life goes. As a kid, looking into the future seemed so far away. I thought the day would never come that I would be able to drive.
Now I'm posting about my second child turning one, Lord have mercy!

I've learned with my boy Jackson that there is nothing dainty about him/boys. If there is a ball, a toy, or his bottle, it will be thrown. If there is a spot of his head that DOES not have a mark, he will find that spot and make a mark. He's had more battle wounds in his first year than Elizabeth has ever had. Falling off the bed and diving from a chair head first for a toy are daily adventures. Diapers changed? Oh, EACH and EVERY time I kid you not, he wrestles me and makes me work for the pooh! Temper? Ha Ha Ha.. he got that from his Daddy I guess, Mommy doesn't have one. ;)

...but talking about cuddly? I could squeeze and kiss him all the time. All you have to do is tell him to give you love and its over, he will kiss and kiss and kiss with those slobbery lips. If I could store those kisses in a jar I would.

There he is, my sweet birthday boy!

Sissy sure helped Mommy out with the party!!

E I E I O

1...2...3....SMASH CAKE!

Nahhhh, I'll just poke at it.

...and that is exactly what he did.

I love him so much, I can't imagine our world without a little boy and girl.
It's perfect.

Happy Birthday buddy, I love you to the moon and back and around again!

The special people in my life :)

Sitting here tonight, my parents are out of town and missing them... we just came home today from my in-laws and now missing them. My husband went to take the horses to the pasture, and my two angels are asleep. Truly grateful beyond measure for the family God has given me.

My Mom is my best friend and the one I confide in, if I need her anytime of the day or night she would be here, no questions. I'm thankful for our friendship and the encouragement she gives me daily. I really do love you Mom, thanks for the love you give to my precious babies!

My Daddy, the one and only, truly amazing Father that you are. I can't type in words how much this man cares for me and my family! Growing up my Daddy always told me he could fix anything but a broken heart, I want to clarify that... HE actually did fix my broken heart many times. Still to this day he mends my heart :) I love you Daddy!!!

Grammie, my Mom-in-law...the sweetest lady you will ever meet in the world. So very blessed and thankful for our friendship. Thanks for listening, loving, caring and having your baby boy :) If it weren't for you I clearly would not have him.. right? :) It does take two.. and with that comes...My Father-in-law, Kermit the frog, or just cowboy :) Anything, I mean ANYTHING you need to know about horses, the man knows!!!! Thanks for teaching your Son everything he knows about being a great Dad and Father... that should tell you something.

To the one who makes it all happen, my knight and shining armor.. Dust :) YOU know how much I love you, without you I would be a mess.. right? I told you that tonight! I know I'm about to quote from a movie, but oh well... ;) You complete me.. and you always have, from the first time I pulled up in the drive and you were squatted down with your white polo on, I loved you.. you just never knew it. Should I say more.. I love you always babe.

Not sure why I'm being sentimental tonight.. but who cares. The fact is I am blessed with an awesome family!!!.. and maybe just maybe I wanted someone to know it :)
Goodnight!
Love, Me

It's all about E & Jackson

What a sweet sister! She's actually checking his finger nails out to make sure he isn't biting them. E started biting her finger nails a while back and I told her Princess' do not bite their nails, and now everyday for the past week AT least 5 times a day she shows me her nails. She no longer bites them, because that's how much self will she has and determination to be a princess. :)

6 Month Chunky Love

Oh, how I adore this little boy, 6 months old and full of love to give! Such a cuddle bug, the words of "I could eat you up" come to my mind quite often. Such a happy baby that LOVES his sissy. The other day I tried and tried to get him to smile at me, he only wanted to look at E and smile. How do babies just know kids? Elizabeth use to just smile at kids from an early age.

Last time I blogged Jackson was just laying there cooing and smiling at me.
How they change in just 3 small months.
Cherish every moment with them, cause my friend it goes by so fast!

Look at this boy? I just love the drool coming out of his mouth! Soon to be teeth, but they can wait! He is already growing up way too fast!!
(Yes, I do realize I cut his head off.)

Those lips & that curl :=)

Oh, my word!!! Can there please be a "squeeze me" button right under this picture??!!!!

So perfect and innocent.

He looks just like my brother did when he was a baby...its kind of freaky and cool at the same time. I just hope my brother and sis in law have a baby girl that looks just like me!!!! ;)

We just got back from Florida and had a great trip! E loved the water and at this point has no fear! I put Jackson's feet in the water and he laughed and started kicking!

We went to our Annual arcade place, the same place my parents use to take me when I was Elizabeth's age.

She doesn't really have the concept of "rolling" the ball down, the ball always ended up in the next bin over ha ha!

See? Ha!

Goodness! Can you get any prettier?

By the way, she told me last week when she gets big shes getting married. I stuck my bottom lip out and told her she couldn't ever leave Mommy and Daddy. Then she kissed me and said, "I can marry you Mommy."

Someone LOVES the water. :)

Look! It's a FISH! .. who can fwim all by herself!!

I captured Jackson sitting up on his own a couple weeks ago. He is still a little weeble wobbly though.

Super excited about the new toy I brought down from the attic!!

Just this past week they started playing so good together. E always makes him laugh!

This picture makes me want at least two more babies!!!
... that's right, a total of FOUR babies in the Shaw house hold!

Giving his sissy sweet slobber kisses!!!

Baby Love

Princess playing in the mud AKA making mud pies for Mommy :)

PERFECT example of my Princess...
THIS IS HER!!!!
8AM till MIDNIGHT
...and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Why does she have to look 5 years old?
...and just to think some boy is going to break her little heart one day.
stay little :(

This little 3 year old still melts my heart...

There's two things I know for sure, they were sent here from Heaven and their Mommy's little WORLD :)

Don't blink...

I always knew looking back on the tears would make me laugh, but I never knew looking back on the laughs would make me cry.

My 2 year old Baby Girl

It seems like I was just sitting down at the computer last year saying, "I can't believe my baby girl is turning 2", and here I am one year later saying the same words but another year later, and now it is 3. I can use the words of, "where does the time go?"...but I simply don't know, but these 2 years and 11 months I am so grateful and blessed to have shared so many wonderful times with Her.

I have laughed till I've cried, I have repeated myself till I was blue in the face, I've went to bed thinking all I've done is get on to her all day long, I have cried when I've punished Her... but no matter what, they forget how you punish them and only respect you more... and still give you hugs and kisses after all.

Legs crossed... too funny!! This is one of the first times she has wore shoes that fit between her toes.. notice her toes on the right.. ha ha ha ha!!!

It's the small things that excite princess...
going to the library and seeing the turtle, going for a walk, giving her a pop cicle right before bed time, letting Boots the cat in to play, letting her help change a diaper and her FAVORITE - sleeping with Mommy and Daddy :) ahhhh.... ;)

I wanted to make sure I wrote down some things that She says, to most it will mean nothing, to me, in years to come it will mean everything. I have decided since writing a daily diary is a thing of the past, blogging is my diary. :)

By Elizabeth:

"that's how we dos it!"

"God is great, God is good, let us dank him for our food, by his hands we are fed, div us dord our daily bread, amen."

"sit wite here"

"her want to"

"Mama will you marry me?"

"I'm buzzzzzz light year!"

"that frustrates me"

"let's get evvbri-dang"

"dats my baby brodder"

"It's a wooonderful day"

"twintle, twintle wittle tar how I wonder what you are"

Since baby Jackson has came along she has taken on new roles, mothering everything, from babies to sticks outside. Has invisible friends and even talks to acorns. She is learning to share the love with Mommy and Daddy. What a good sport she has been, she asked me the other night, "why we keeping Jackson?" :) maybe she thought he was only staying for a little while?
;)

Speaking of baby Jackson, some one just looked at me with those big blue eyes and gerber baby curl and melted my heart. He was on his tummy a couple weeks back and lifted his head up and looked at me. I once again, as like every day.. melted. :)

Happy 3 Months Love!!!

I am so blessed with two wonderful kids, I know every parent says the same words , but parenting is an awesome thing.

I will cherish each day with my babies.

Don't Blink...

..and 2 months later

JWS

Hello World, my name is Jackson William...and I am not happy, I was perfectly fine where I was!!! :)

Dec 21, 2010 at 7:02pm was the day our blonde hair, blue eyed baby boy was born. 7 pounds, 7 ounces and 20 inches long. Everything I knew about being a Mommy to an infant came back to me the second I held him (I thought I forgot it all remember?) I wasn't sure how it was going to be to love two, all I can say now is my love is endless to two sweet babies. :)

...and then we're four :)

Daddy got his boy :) For some of you who don't know, when I was pregnant with Elizabeth we didn't find out the sex and the WHOLE time Dustin just knew it was a boy :) ha..

God gave us a healthy and perfect little guy.

Princess holding Jackson at only an hour old :)

Our first "big" outing with E and Jackson :) He's hiding ;)

AH! Big sister is a kitty cat!! Look at those eyes.. don't they just melt your heart?

They do mine :)

..that blonde hair <<>>

...and again those eyes :)
At 5 weeks old :o where does the time go?? I just had you!

6 1/2 weeks old - looking like Daddy!

Today bud you are 2 months old, the smiles and tears you have already brought me!

Totally in Love with you, can only image how the next two months are going to be....

I Love you more than yesterday! Love Mommy
